The blowback from firings at the White House due to past marijuana use has not subsided, and they’ve been forced to make another statement on the issue.
30 Democratic members of Congress sent a letter to the White House basically asking for clarification on what went down, which is the most we can ask for at the moment.
Press Secretary Psaki had come out to say past marijuana was not the only reason for the firings, but gave no specifics on the issue.
Now, a new statement was sent to Brian Karem of Playboy Magazine.

The lack of specificity will surely keep this issue in the news, but it’s a step in the right direction of transparency, and the White House has made it clear that they won’t fully back out of these firings until marijuana is legalized on a federal level.
