Sleep is a metal band that was active in the 90’s who have gained a pretty sizable following over the years. Their final album (at least until 2018 when they got back together), Dopesmoker, was never released on streaming platforms, but that’ll change on Friday.
In additional to the digital release, the band will rerelease some vinyl prints, and the special edition version is making some cannabis history by being the first record to be pressed with “pure, unadulterated, authentic cannabis leaves.”
The leaves are provided by Doghouse Farms Premium Cannabis and are encapsulated in PVC. They’re calling it “Weedian High-Fi”. It’s perfect.
Unfortunately, the pressing is only available at Third Man’s store in Detroit, so if you’re in the area and like some old school sludgey metal, go get yourself a copy that’ll, at the very least, look pretty cool on your wall.
