Martha’s Vineyard is quickly getting into the marijuana business.
Late in July, the first dispensary opened up in West Tisbury, at first only serving medical marijuana patients by appointment. Called Fine Fettle Dispensary, they’re awaiting approval to serve recreational customers.
Then over in Tisbury, another dispensary titled Island Time is expected to open within the coming weeks.
All products sold in the two stores will be grown on the island, due to the federal ban on transporting marijuana via air or water.
Fine Fettle plans to continue being appointment only once they’re able to serve recreational marijuana, due to a local restriction that will last up to six months.
