A week after two new states joined the legal marijuana landscape, a hearing will be held to discuss the various paths to legalization that have been introduced.
For one, Republican Nancy Mace’s federal legalization bill has been circling for months now, and she had previously been promised a hearing for her bill, titled the States Reform Act.
There’s also the larger, Schumer-backed bill that is probably a nonstarter for most Republicans, and the House bill, the MORE Act, that has passed multiple times and dies in the Senate.
Details are scant at the moment, but all of these bills are expected to be discussed. We’ll see if anything comes from the talks!
